Default Go, Henchie, Go Go Go!

I think the Forgotten were nerfed. Or the henchies all turn into Glint while you're afk.
I'd heard Dunes of Despair was an easy mission, so I figured I'd hench it like I've done the rest. I take Alesia, Lina, Stefan, Reyna and Orion, because I'm already level 20 and don't care too much about items. I just want my Ascension, right?
So I'm going through, and I agree- easiest mission evar.
...then the dog starts bothering me. Terrier mix. Willful little brat. So I figure I'll take him on a walk after the mission, right?
Well, the Ghostly Hero gets to the throne, and the timer pops up. I figured the mission was done with, I didn't realize it had over ten minutes left.
Sooo... as the Arcanists pour in I say 'forget it', set my status to Away, minimize the window and take the dog out.

I come back to the computer about twenty minutes later, and I'm in Augury Rock. An unclaimed items window is in the upper-right corner of the screen. It seems the henchies beat the mission for me.

They take a lot of flak, but anyone else had the henchies go above and beyond the call of target?

We where gvging today, running 7 wammos and a healer hench just to be funny. 6 of us were dp'd out, but then the healer hench ran around ressing everyone, we were able to put up one last offensive before we lost (managed to run em out of our base too). It was hilarious.

Dunes is really easy. I've done it with 2 level 7's in the group.

Arcane Echo, Mending, Echo, Mending, Mending.

Man...invincible 2x and 3x the power.

meh...my guilds elite build is of unparalleled greatness...
each of us brings 8sig caps, then once an enemy soldier dies, we attempt to cap their skills...when this fails, we run around in circles like idiots, and start crying like small children.
the enemy, in all the confusion, ragequits.
Victory.

Brilliant. Does it work well?

To the OP: Pretty sweet. I would have thought that he lack of a target caller (you) would have decreased the henchies functionality. Guess the low numbers and slow rate of enemies allowed them to overcome it, though. Now if only you could let them kill the doppleganger, too

Edit: Akhilleus, your build might only be trumped by running around, selecting the other team, and trying to cast Charm Animal.

Your henchies may have been blessed by terrain abusement. The pair of Forgotten Arcanists or whatever they were called often start targetting the Ghostly Hero before they even get on the ramp and sometimes become content at waving their wands at him instead of casting any spells. Since the NPC is situated on a higher ground with some obstacles blocking the wand trajectory, he doesn't get hit at all. Have more than two groups of these snakeys do this at each side, and most Enchanted as well as bosses can get blocked off completely...the very few that do get through will get ripped apart by Alesia and gang by virtue of superior numbers. xD

Well I henched Dragons Lair after 2 attempts with real ppl without succuss.I took my time and got a very high morale boost of 10% and it work I beat the mission got my elite and didn't beat Glint but that is ok.Dunes is one of those you can use henchies on but the other 2 I would rather not.

I managed to kill Glint with henchies after making a few unsuccessful attempts with people but I was an interupt ranger and when she couldn't use her skills she became rather easy.

Dude just because Mending is too cool of a skill for you, hell, it should be Elite it's that damn good. But then they'll nerf my 3x the power and I can't use 'Echo' AND Arcane Echo, so I didn't send ANet that suggestion 'quite' yet.

Just for a side-note, I just did The Dragon's Lair Mission with 7 Henchmen and my level 16 R/Me, but we failed to kill Glint by about a fracture of HP.
